Acupuncture TCM

Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM includes acupuncture, moxibustion, the massage techniques Shiatsu and Tuina, Chinese herbal medicine and dietetics but also movement therapies such as Qigong and TaiQi. TCM embodies the healing theory and practice in its country of origin China and its users worldwide.

Proved its value for 4000 years

TCM and mainly acupuncture are some of the oldest and most effective therapeutical methods we know. They are based on the knowhow of Chinese physicians which is about 4000 years old. This valuable knowledge was documented for the first time about 2200 years ago in the famous work “Huang Di Nei Jing”. Today acupuncture and TCM in pain therapy and for curing chronic diseases are accepted worldwide and enrich also the therapeutic possibilities of western medicine.

Recommended by WHO

for about 20 years the experts of the World Health Organization WHO recommend acupuncture for therapy of about 40 diseases. Today the method is used also by almost 400.000 physicians in the western world. Most modern research results confirm the efficiency in pain therapy and cure therapy. In Germany the method is tested in the context of the so-called “model project acupuncture” for the use in panel benefit.

Side effects

Properly used acupuncture is mostly free of side effects.  After an acupuncture session  your responsiveness in traffic (e.g. when driving a car) can be reduced.

Gentle and painless

Using specific sharpened disposable needles the therapy is particularly gentle and lacking pain. Thus the transmission of diseases like AIDS and hepatitis B are excluded. The sensitive stimuli of acupuncture inhibit the pain transmission to the brain already on the spinal cord level. The brain centers produce pain relieving, anti-inflammatory and physical balancing hormones e.g. endorphins.

Healing processes

by specific immunologic acting mechanisms acupuncture enhances the regeneration of damaged tissue.

The therapy

a session normally lasts about 30 to 60 minutes. A therapeutic series consists (depending on the individual case) of 6-12 sessions.

Your contribution to your therapeutic success

you should bring with you time and calmness. Before each therapeutic session please take of all metallic objects like watches, chains, rings, earrings and piercings, because these disturb the energetic flow in your body. Afterwards you relax and do not get distracted from the therapy. If you concentrate on the acupuncture typical flow- and thermal feeling De Qi, you can feel clearly the energy flow stimulated by the acupuncture in your body. Take things gently after your therapy – even if you were free of complaints. Your body is not cured only while being treated but also afterwards. Take your time and don`t provoke new complaints. During therapy you should drink regularly and much (!!!).
